No Storytelling this week. You can blame one of my other classes for that (have to write an ethnography paper) and taking all my writing juices. We carry on with the third reading diary. This time it's Turkish Fairytales.
+ Fear
This story reads like it could be a game, with the youth being the fearless protagonist, doing things other people tell him that scare them but not him, and getting a great reward at the end.
+ The Wizard-Dervish
This could also be a game. With the helpful maiden guiding the hero through the various steps of the story against the Wizard-Dervish and the Witch. If the protagonist makes the right choices in the end, they end up married to their helpful maiden.
+ The Crow-Peri
Another fine game story. Many tasks await the bird catcher with the helpful crow against the scheming Iala. Gathering quests, fetch quests and a happy ending, just what we like to see. Perhaps all three of the stories could be in the game, as 'chapters/episodes' as many games are coming out as nowadays. They all have the same setting, but have different main characters.
