+ Have you ever heard of Twine?
From the site, "Twine is an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories."
It is a writing program that allows you to create an interactive story (or text based game) by linking passages in any order you want, as well as being able to track assigned variables.
I've only recently downloaded it and only had a small chance to play with it and look at the how-to guides, but I'm already in love.
+ I have a side-tumblr that is for writing inspiration. It is mostly photos, but there are some text posts as well, for writing resources or ideas. It's not updated regularly, it just depends on whether or not I want to squirrel something away that has caught my attention.
+ There is a show called Sunrise Earth from the Discovery Channel that is an unnarrated video of a sunrise in a certain area. If you like background noises or just want something pretty to stare at for a while, I recommend these videos. I've only listened to a few, but my favourite is the Haleakala Crater.
Hi Whitney,
ReplyDeleteI must say, I adore the layout that your blog has! The color scheme and template looks so darn good.
I've never heard of Twine before, but I am thinking I must check it out after reading about it. It looks really cool and useful for classes like this one. I would probably have to play around with it and learn it before I would be able to use it for educational purposes, but I am really happy that you found such a thing online. Great find!
